چکیده

PSR 0628-28 is an X-ray emitting radio pulsar which was observed with Advanced CCD Imaging Spectrometer (ACIS) on board Chandra on 2001 November 04 and on 2002 March 25 for 2700 s and 17000 s, respectively. The source countrate was 0.0111±0.0008cps. We detected pulsations consistent with the radio frequency of f = 0.80370338 ± 0.000059 at a pulsed fraction 25.4%±%2 making PSR 062828 to be the longest period X-ray emitting pulsar. The spectral distribution of counts can be described by several model fits. A blackbody fit yields a temperature kT = 4.53 −0.14 × 10K where we assumed NH = 1.07 × 10cm and a powerlaw fit yields a photon index of γ = 2.45±0.15 with the same hydrogen column density. The distance of 2.14 kpc calculated from the dispersion measure gives a blackbody radius of ∼1 km. Confirming the previous ROSAT pointed observation for PSR 1813-36, there was no positive detection from the 30ks Chandra ACIS observation on 2001 October 25. We obtained an upper limit for the countrate of 2.3× 10cps.

Chandra and Xmm-newton Observations of the Exceptional Pulsar Psr B0628-28

PSR B0628-28 is a radio pulsar which was first detected in the X-ray band by ROSAT and then later observed with Chandra and XMM-Newton. The Chandra observation yielded an X-ray luminosity two orders of magnitude higher than what is expected for spin-powered pulsars, also there were no pulsations detected. The XMM-Newton observation, however, reveals pulsations at the expected radio period, P = ...

Xmm-newton Observations of Radio Pulsars B0834+06 and B0826 34 and Implications for the Pulsar Inner Accelerator

We report the X-ray observations of two radio pulsars with drifting subpulses, B0834+06 and B0826 34, using XMM-Newton. PSR B0834+06 was detected with a total of 70 counts from the three EPIC instruments over 50 ks exposure time. Its spectrum is best described as that of a blackbody (BB), with temperature Ts 1⁄4 (2:0þ2:0 0:9) ; 10 K and bolometric luminosity Lb 1⁄4 (8:6þ14:2 4:4 ) ; 10 erg s . ...

Observations of two Millisecond Pulsars in the Globular Cluster NGC5904

We report on 5 years of pulsar observations of the globular cluster NGC5904 (M5). A timing model has been obtained for the two known pulsars, and a deep search for additional faint isolated pulsars has lowered the detection ux limit vefold without further detection. We discuss the details and implications of the phase coherent timing models for PSR B1516+02A and PSR B1516+02B. Of particular int...

BeppoSAX observations of rotation-powered pulsars

During its life, BeppoSAX observed several isolated pulsars, giving important contributions to the knowledge of the phenomenology and properties of the X-ray emission from this class of sources. In this paper I review the spectral and timing results obtained from BeppoSAX observations. In particular, results on three Crab-like (Crab, PSR B1509-58 and PSR B0540-69) and 3 millisecond pulsars (PSR...
